Hi everybody

I ran into the weirdest problem while building a pc for my sister.
After everything was put together, I went to install windows, only to find out the nvme drive I installed wasn’t detected by windows.
Next thing I did is go to the bios to try and figure out the problem, and I noticed the drive is recognized as a storage device by the bios, but its not a bootable device.

System specs:
i9-12900KF
Asus prime z690-P
Adata SX8200 pro 2tb

A picture of the bios EZ mode screen

Anyone with a solution?

In UEFI mode drive gets presented as bootable device only after it has bootloader installed on it.
So - you have to install windows first. Only then it becomes bootable.

BTW - what windows version are you trying to install?
Hope - not windows 7 ? Windows 7 needs specific hotfixes, nvme drivers and USB drivers integrated into installation, before it can be installed onto modern hardware.
