I have a asus Z97-E with all drivers installed except a pcie device which i can install a nvme driver for but it is not signed and will cause windows to throw an exception when booting and if i boot without driver signature the drive still does not show.

I found a windows update to add native support for NVME (Fix487764/KB2990941) but apparently its optional and giving Microsoft my email did not result in a download link.
found it here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=7903
but the drive still is not showing up.

just to reiterate it does show up in bios and i can boot to it, it just doesn't show up in windows.
