hello

i am upgrading from 500gb nvm m.2 sdd to 2tb nvme m.2 ssd do i need to get into my bios settings on my motherboard which is rog strix b550-e gaming to activate the 2tb nvme m.2 ssd to clone windows from 500gb to the new 2tb nvme m.2 ssd please

You should go into the BIOS and confirm that you can see both drives before you attempt the clone.

The cloning process should take care of the necessary formatting.

What software will you use for the clone process?

You could also use imaging if cloning proves to be a problem.

I took a chance on AOMEI and my drive cloned perfectly 1:1. Results may vary but for me it was fast and after I was already done someone here actually ended up recommending it anyway.
