Hello all, so I've got a Samsung MZ-NTE1280 128GB NVMe. Got a PCI-E adapter for it. Installed and it lights up, however nothing I do it won't show up. Computer management, files device management Bios nothing know where to be found. System HP z800 and the port it's on the second PCI-E Gen 2 16x. Graphics card is on the 1st 16x port. Windows 10 Pro 21H1. 96GB ECC ddr3 10tb extra Storage twin X5687 water cooled.

Solution
No telling if the problem is the ssd, the adapter or motherboard incompatibility.
If this is to be a boot drive, not all motherboards allow booting from a pcie slot.

You could try installing the samsung nvme driver which can be downloaded here:

Past that, 128gb is simply not enough for a C drive.

Windows really should be on a C drive.

Many things default to the C drive.
When the drive nears full, it will lose performance and endurance.
240gb would be minimum

A simple sata 2.5" ssd will perform just as well.
Pcie devices bench well in sequential synthetic benchmarks, but most activity will be random.

I've got a Samsung MZ-NTE1280 128GB NVMe. Got a PCI-E adapter for it.
That is not NVME drive. It is sata.
Will not work on M.2 PCIE adapter.

You need M.2 sata adapter instead.
