Question NVMe or M.2 for Gigabyte Z390 UD?

I need some storage for my games and have been looking to buy a NVMe/M.2. However trying to figure out what to buy I've only become confused.
On Gigabyte´s website it says that the motherboard has a NVMe PCIe Gen3 x4 22110 M.2 Connector. But when searching for an answer I find topics like NVMe vs M.2. So are they not the same and what should I look for? 🤔

M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 SATA and PCIe x4/x2 SSD support)

it take just about any m.2 drive. depend on how much/what size you want to spend/get

I think I just understood it now 😀 I have been looking at a Intel 660p series SSDPEKNW010T8X1 1TB. That's a 2280 so that should work I guess
