I have two NVR recorders that stopped working within a short time of each other. Both have been in service for the same amount of time and are the same model. They are Chinese units made by a company called “Sunivision”. Most of the products made by Sunivison seem to be Hikvision and Dahua clones.

After testing the wall receptacle, power cords, and power supplies with a multimeter, I ran into bad readings when testing the power supplies. This leads me to believe that the power supplies need to be replaced. I cannot find exact replacements for the power supplies online. I tried contacting the manufacturer with no luck. I am hoping that I can find different power supplies that will be compatible, or at least work with these NVR units.

There are some power supplies online with the same max wattage and similar dimensions, but I cant find any that have the same specs regrading the current for each voltage rail.

If someone could help me down the right path regarding what options should/could work with these NVRs, I would greatly appreciate it.

I am willing to modify the case in order to install the power supply and I do not mind if the input voltage is different. I also don't care if the power supply is external or internal.

Solution
Just a follow-up in case someone else is having issues with a similar NVR. I ordered 2 different PSUs and one of them works perfectly. No modifications to the case required. I just had to get some SATA Power Splitter Cables.

The PSU that ended up working was an Athena MP4ATX30.

Jay32267, thanks for the reply.

That does look similar. Would it matter that the amperage for each voltage rail is slightly lower than the unit I currently have? For example

HZ-252
SDGR-FLEX270
12V18A14A
+5V15A12A
-5Vna0.1A
-12V0.5A0.3A
3.3V15A9A
+5VSB2A2.0A

....I also found this

http://www.solidgearusa.com/en/product_4/22/

which is the next model up with 50 more watts and it gets you closer to what you have.
Check out the left side of the page (on those links I sent).

There are lots of different units and you may find a drop in.

Thanks! I had actually already pulled up that same 320 watt unit on their web page. I'll check out the others as well.

$40 for a power supply that may work is worth trying before buying a new NVR .
