lol i went in to a microsoft store before
seems like they try to copy apple store

and they are selling shit in there, mainly xbox 360 and their own OS
nothing more ~ i dont see why they need to open a retail store ~

its been here a while but the one in the Mall of America is directly across from the apple store and on these holiday weekends the place is a ZOO, while the apple store is moderately filled at most, i wanted to take a picture showing the volume of people in each. Apple has huge tables filled with a single item, like an ipad whereas Microsoft has laptops from every vendor under the sun, Surface tables so it is FAR more interesting than the clean, minimalistic look of the apple store

Haven't been to one, but this is what i would imagine.

Kinda useless. Apple hardly has snything in it's store but can offer more than microsoft. *more junk*

What needs to be at the MS store besides Xbox 360 and OS

Hardwares like mouse, keyboards, etc
Some head wear, key chains, apparel.
Lunch boxes, reference books, car freshner.
And most importantly Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer action figures!

Read the article, Jesus. Bellevue is less than two miles from Seattle, and is closer to Redmond (where Microsoft's headquarters are actually located) than Seattle is.

And on the topic of Microsoft stores themselves, I went into the Bellevue location the other day, and wasn't too thrilled. Aesthetically, it's quite nice - wood finishes, fairly minimalist design - but it really does mimic the Apple retail store design. Given that they are about three storefronts away from each other in the mall, I can't help but giggle a little bit about that.

I've heard there is one in the Mall of America which I drive by everyday on my way home. I haven't seen or been in the store cause it doesn't sound amazing in anyway. Plus I haven't been in there in months, I don't care to shop at the Mall of America.

One time I went there just to pickup a players guide for a game and I was on the 3rd floor. The store I needed to get to was on the 1st floor on the opposite side of the mall. IT WAS A LONG WALK! Basically if you've got time to burn and shop around it's not too bad but if you need to get something quick that's the last place you want to go.

I actually heard Microsoft was planning to add in computers at one point. Specifically OEM PCs they say are good for the OS and they would format and install Windows on it without any bloatware.

If they did that it would be pretty awesome.

They may also have techs there who are good with hardware and software to assist people with problems.

And unlike a Apple store, you wont have to pay out of the nose to get something there.
