NZXT H440 Case Temperature

Hey guys,

I just moved my rig from a HAF 912 to an H440. WIth the previous case, my overclocked gigabyte HD 7950 wouldn't exceed 70 deg C when running intensive applications such as Valley benchmark, Crysis 3 or Skyrim with full realvision ENB installed. With the H440, though, my GPU hit, but thankfully doesn't exceed, 80 deg C. It even runs hot playing non-intensive games such as CS:GO and titanfall. Should I be worried about this increase in temp, or was I just spoiled with the HAF 912?

The reason ur seeing high temps its cuz there isnt much airflow going in the H440 cuz everything is basically blocked and theres only minimal vents, Compared to HAF 912 which has a lot of airflow cuz there many vents on it and they are also visable unlike the H440. If i were you i wouldve stuck with the HAF 912 its such an awsome case. (Using one currently for main build).

Add some more fans in the chassis. Get some Corsair AF120 fans and place one at the front and one at the rear or the top. That will decrease the temperatures inside the chassis nicely.

OK, you guys wouldn't believe this, but I just decided to remove all of the 3.5" HDD bays that I wasn't using and my temps dropped to how they were with the HAF 912. I can't believe something so trivial made such a big difference, but I'm glad it worked because I'm in love with this case.

Another mod you could do because those fans are pretty weak even without the bays is get yourself 2 140mm and place one on top of eachother where the bays used to be and secure them with cable ties. Works a charm for my r9 290x. Keeps him at 65-75*C.

That's not a bad idea. I actually ended up replacing the front intake fans with 3 120mm be quiet! silent wings 2 fans, they work really well and I'm satisfied with my temps now.
