Oblivion not working with Win7.

I'm running a gaming rig with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and Oblivion isn't working. I have the GotY edition and I've installed both disks. When the start-up menu loads, the first thing it did was set my settings to "Low" quality, which makes no sense since Fallout: New Vegas gets set to "Ultra High". When I start the game, the Bethesda logo loads up, then it freezes and I get an error message saying that Oblivion has stopped working.

Does anyone know what's going on and how I might be able to fix this?

Look for patches for 64bit it might help. I never tried Oblivion on Win 7 64bit but I did played that on Win 7 Ultimate 32bit.

Actually, I found the answer elsewhere. I just had to delete the .ini file in my Documents folder and it ran just find the next time I fired it up.
