Hello. I am replacing all the fans on the obsidian 650 D, as I'd like to increase airflow and possibly make it more silent. I know how to replace all of them besides one. There's one in the front of the case, which I think is a 140 mm fan but I'm not sure. Now this fan is right in between the drive bays and the front of the case, making it a very tight fit. So do I have to take out the drive bays to take this fan out?

Solution
yes you take the whole front off not just the dust filter

take both side panels off then theres 6 plastic tabs to be pushed in then the whole front comes off exposing the fan
If you are thinking of upgrading the front 200 mm fan and still want to make use of the HDD tower situated next to the fan, ensure that the fan has a 20 mm thickness. Cooler Master Mega Flow 200 mm for instance is 30 mm and will conflict with the HDD tower.

I don't even think its possible to remove this fan. The other guy said to remove the front panel but the only thing I can remove is the dust filter. Once I do that, the screws mounting the fan are visible, but they are behind the front part of the case. So unless you can take the whole front part of the case off, I don't think I'll be able to take it out :/
