[SOLVED] OC Genie Button - Should it be OFF before doing a manual overclock? Noob question

Going to attempt to do my first manual overclock tonight on my i75820K. I would assume you would want to start by turning off OC Genie to start the manual process but I actually can't find anything on the net telling me to do so.

Yeah you can't overclock without turning off OC Genie. You can turn it off with turning off your pc and remove the battery from your Motherboard. After 2 Minutes or even less you can put it back and start the PC. Before doing this all, uninstall MSI Command center because it can turn it back on. After reboot you can install it again

And what I forgot you can restore defaults in BIOS
