Out of curiousity, how do these new hidden surface functions interact with diffraction, and transparent or translucent surfaces? It would seem, although I am NO programmer, that you could run into difficulties if a surface was assumed to be "hidden" and was in fact not due to some special surface that was "hiding" it. My initial thought was a glass surface whereby you might see a reflection of something on it (yourself for instance) as well as any surfaces behind it.
Am I completely off base on this? (Not very far-fetched for sure)
