Hm.. I missed all the other USB 3.0 SSD announcements then. ;p
So Intel's next gen SSDs (Q3/4?) will come with USB 3.0? Neat.

Yep. Their GA-P55A-UD3 board was the first USB 3.0 certified board.

"Having USB 3.0 isn't a requirement--the SSD can still wrok when connected to a USB 2.0 "

Does anyone proof read a story before publishing anymore? I can understand if the spell check missed a dual spelling word such as their or there but I am fairly certain there is no such word as wrok.

As far as I can tell, there are quite a few boards that have USB 3.0 (and the new SATA spec as well) - from both Asus and Gigabyte.

GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD7
GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD3
GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD3P
GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD4P
GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD6

GIGABYTE GA-770TA-UD3
GIGABYTE GA-790XTA-UD4
GIGABYTE GA-790FXTA-UD5

ASUS P6X58D (mentioned)
ASUS P7P55D-E Premium
ASUS P7P55D-E Deluxe
ASUS P7P55D-E Pro
ASUS P7P55D-E

That is just from a simple search - there may be more

Does having a single word misspelled truly destroy your reading experience? Big deal.

Just don't expect it to run at SATA-III speeds (6gb/s) on P55 boards with 2 PCiE video cards. It works at full speen on the x58 motherboards, but multiple video cards on most P55 mobos disables the SATA-III and USB3.0 down to SATA-II / USB 2.0 speeds. Limitation of only 16 PciE lanes...

I have the Asus P6X58D and it can run 3 cards at 16x/8x/8x and still maintain full USB3/SATA-III speeds...as I believe all the x58 boards can maintain it at full speed.

Now I just need the SATA-III devices to run on it!
