Manuf "advertized" speed is under ideal conditions, normally:
1) using program such as HDTack which usies data that is highly compressable. This is not real life. Real life OS + Programs lean more toward the non compressable. The Vertex loves compressable data.
2) Generally the "test Bed" is an Intel setup using the Intel ahci driver (iaSTor) which is slightly better than the default windows maahci driver. Not sure how the amd driver stacks up. This is probably valid as 80% of PCs use the Intel chipset.
3) Manuf tout Sequencial performance. This is the least important matrix for a OS + Program drive, it is the random 4 k speeds that are of the most importance.
Anyway, download as ssd and run it. Don't need to run the benchmark. Look at the uper left and verify the correct driver is installed and that the partition is properly aligned.
