I'm not certain this is a motherboard issue, it's just my best guess.
I have a very old PC that I use for training. I'm very close to giving up on it. When you press the power button it looks like it's going to power up, then it shuts down immediately. Short, moderate, long presses, it doesn't matter. The same thing happens if you short the pins on the motherboard so I've dismissed the switch and its wiring. After 30-50 pushes of the power button, it stays on, boots successfully, and will run all day without issues. Has anyone ever seen something like this?
