I have a side by side dual monitor setup with I use to extend my desktop. Busy, I have pretty much populated both screens with shortcuts and files I frequently use. Each time I update my video adpater drivers (PNY nVidia GTX 1060) literally 27 icons stack on top of themselves in the top left cover f my left display. I can manually move them to an empty place on my extended desktop and they sort pout to make 3 columns of 11 rows.

While this isn't critical it is annoying. Has anyone seen this before? Is there a resolution?

Issue is with the number of icons and resolution changes that happen as the system installs the drivers. It's normal. Organize the icons into folders by type or delete some you don't need. You will see the same thing happen if you use a laptop with a screen with lower res than some external screen. If you fill the screen with icons, then disconnect it so all the icons bunch up on the lower res laptop screen, this will also happen.
