Trying to fix my godfather's old-ish Toshiba Satellite laptop and get its updates, but the office 2010 service pack 2 is stuck at 14%

Things I've tried:

Restarting

Repairing the office program

Downloading the x32 version from microsoft's website standalone, still fails

Downloading the x64 version, doesn't detect anything so does nothing

What I find weird is in windows updates, it has x32 service pack update but it is a x64 windows computer, hence why i tried the x64 version but doesn't work so idk

Help?

I also can't install any AMD graphic updates for him since it won't do it while windows updates is going so It's very annoying, can't progress at all for him

Edit: Pretty sure its: KB2687455 update

wait for the windows updates to be done, before installing office

if the x32 version of office (full install) is installed, you will need to update with the x32 service pack version
you can have a look inside word for yourself:
  1. Open an Office 2010 application such as Microsoft Word 2010.
  2. On the File tab, click Help. You will see the version information in the About Microsoft <ApplicationName> section.
  3. this should clarify if it´s 32 bit or 64 bit
From which site do you download the 2010 version? Did you try it from here?
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=39667

try updating within office:
open e.g. Word,
  1. Go to File > Help > Check for Updates.
  2. Choose Install Updates or Check for Updates. If neither option is available, follow the additional steps provided in the pop-up window that appeared after you chose Check for Updates.

The update process can be very time intensive, did you let it update at least 2 to 4hours?
