Offline Files: Increase amount of disk space

I've enabled client side caching on our Windows XP SP2 clients. I try to
increase the amount of disk space to use for temporary offline files by
moving the slider towards the right to the desired amount. But if I click
Apply and OK and then go back to the Offline Files tab, it has reverted back
to the default value of either 5 or 10%, depending on the machine.

Is there a registry key or a setting elsewhere that's causing this
restriction? I'm getting no error message.

As a follow up...

I found the following article on Microsoft's web site:

It describes the registry key that defines the value for the amount of
storage to allow for offline file use as:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\NetCache

The odd thing is that the percentage I set using the GUI Offline Tab in
Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options is CORRECTLY being displayed in the
Registry, but not in the GUI. So I'm not sure if it is taking effect in
reality or not. Please note that there are NO Group Policies in effect
relating to DefaultCacheSize.

Basically, what is prompting me to try to solve this problem is the
following scenario: a user has a laptop and I've set his Home Folder in his
Active Directory account to point a folder on the network. By enabling
Offline Files on his laptop, Windows XP automatically makes his Home Folder
and all subfolders and files available offline. However, not all subfolders
and files are being made available so I checked the amount of storage that
was set for Offline Files and it's defaulted at 5% (2.02 GB). So I increased
it to 43% (16 GB) since his Home Folder contains over 5 GB of data, but still
not all subfolders and files are being made available for offline use.

Can anyone help me out on this issue? I'd greatly appreciate it.
