Hi Folks, I have an old PC a Gigabyte 990fxa UD5 with 32 Gb RAM 1600 MHz Hitachi 750 GB Windows Drive with a WD Black 500GB HDD for Games and Apps running today with no crashes or issues of any kind. 1050 Watts Seasonic PSU AMD FX 9370 CPU with aftermarket liquid cooler. My Monitor is a Panasonic 47 Inch LED TV I surf the Internet it is capable of playing about up to more than 100 games, posting on social media performing Microsoft Office tasks with NO issues. No viruses or ransomware attacks etc. It has a GTX EVGA 1050Ti 4GB Video Card from 2016 working adequately. My Router is hardware Firewalled and the Windows 7 Firewall is completely secured. NO attacks viruses etc. It performs as good as or better than Windows 11. With NO support from Microsoft. It works very well even with its limitations with newer drivers and apps. I enjoy the nostalgia of this old OS.

It's W10 compatible, my 8650 used to run W10 just fine and so did much older and poorer systems like Intel Core 2 Duo. In some aspects even better than W7 and more secure. Same with present HP laptop with dual core CPU an 8GB of RAM. Only new thing is SSD instead of HDD. Unless you feel nostalgic no reason not to upgrade to W10.

Thank you Sir, This PC will run W10 and W11 with no issues. The CPU has the SSE 4.2 Instruction Set. I really enjoy the W7 environment. It's like driving a classic car. Cheers from the old school PC builder and Gamer.

Just food for thought, with all of the modern technology these days why are so many people having so many problems and issues with the brand new PC's??? It keeps sites like this in business I guess. The last AM4 build I put together 3 yrs ago is still running well. Its setup for auto overclocking in gaming environments and is very fast with every day office apps and productivity programs. The owner has not been back yet for repairs.

Brand new PCs and brand new technology, BIOS and drivers not yet ironed out from errors. My 2 year old motherboard and already 15+ BIOS versions and updates and that's for only 2 Ryzen generation, AM4 had at least 3 main generations. People are less interested in actual technology, everything has to be served at silver platter. Non-fixable portable devices became powerful enough to provide more than enough of to cover more than just basic computing needs. Very few of us "oldtimers" left (I'm 77) and working with computers way before PC let alone with advanced technology..

Thank you Sir, I appreciate and respect your knowledge and expertise. I am still a youngster I'm 61 and still learning about today's technology. I appreciate and respect the other professional people here who share their knowledge and skills as well. I have enjoyed this site from way back when it began. I am grateful if I can help someone to get their PC up and running well again.
