My old HP Desktop p7-1380t (Windows 7) has an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD Integrated Graphics Adapter and a Dell 1704FPT monitor at 1280 x 1024. Will my old graphics adapter be able to run a new display at 1920 x 1080, or would I have to buy a new graphics card?

Solution

Welcome to Tom's!
It will be able to run any productivity type(Word, excell, etc) software at that resolution, but you will most likely need a discrete graphics card if you want to do any gaming at that resolution.
