Question Old CPU not working after trying to install new CPU, while forgetting to update BIOS

I have the B450 Max motherboard and just recently got the ryzen 5 5600x and tried to install in in my computer without updating the BIOS. The ezdebug CPU light turned on, and I took the Ryzen 5 out and put my old Ryzen 3 3200g back in and tried to boot, but the ezdebug CPU light came back on. Any suggestions?

Try resetting CMOS....I suggest taking the battery out for 15 minutes or so while shorting the pins. Then reassemble and try again.

Another thing to try is move memory around: use one DIMM only in an adjacent socket for instance. This should force the CPU to re-train memory. Once it starts put memory back in the original slots and try again.

Read in your manual about resetting CMOS. The pins are right next to each other, I use a screwdriver tip.
