Hi! I'm trying to get my old mans Fujitsu Scaleo Pi 2662 running again (Motherboard AMD690VM-FM,
CPU AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+, GPU ATI Radeon HD 3850 512MB).
At first the computer didn't show any signs of working what so ever.
The case fans didn't move, no error codes in signals from the post speaker after pushing the power button.
The Cmos-battery was completely empty so I replaced it, however it didn't seem to solve the main issue.

What happens if the Cmos-battery is empty for an extended duration of time? (About 10 years)

My brother replaced the harddrive with a SSD around 2015, shortly before the computer was abandoned.
Neither my dad or my brother remembers what issues the computer had during the time surrounding the last time of it's use.

Since the computer has since been freed from its SSD, I installed a new Samsung Evo 870 250GB.
This is initialized on my modern computer and has been assigned a letter as a designation and appears as it should in explorer.
I also looked at the data in Samsung Magician, and it looked good.
This is now connected to the Fujitsu computer.

I have since solved some issues by replacing the PSU, removed the RAM-memory and the Cmos-battery followed by turning it on and off and finally reconnecting the RAM-memory and the Cmos-battery.
In addition I have removed and reconnected the Power Switch, Power LED and HDD LED to the motherboard according to how it should be done in the motherboard manual.

As a result the case fans and the CPU-fan now run, the fan on the GPU runs, and the DVDRW-unit is able to eject and fiinally a small light is glowing inside the SSD.

Assuming the motherboard has a post speaker (I searched for WT-1205 that seems to be referred to as a Buzzer/Transducer on Google, WT-1205 is installed on this motherboard)
Could it be the post speaker? The post speaker hasn't sent any signals yet either way.

During my efforts I tried to disconnect the GPU (ATI Radeon HD 3850 512MB) however unsuccesfully as there is a PCIEx16-lock of some kind and the GPU is currently not properly connected and it doesn't seem possible to solve as long as the lock is mounted. The GPU is unable to reach the PCIE-port properly. I was unable to understand the nature of the lock before making the mistake of disconnecting it.
I have made countless attempts of pushing the lock from different angles but I'm unable to grasp the concept.

The computer doesn't send any signal to the display, but that could be because the GPU isn't properly connected to the motherboard.
I'm assuming the dGPU is selected as the primary GPU in the BIOS as the VGA-port on the motherboard doesn't send any signal to the display as well.

Can case fans and SATA-units work even on a dead motherboard?, or does their function confirm that the motherboard is functioning?

What could be the reason it won't start?

Thanks in advance!
