Old games & XP

I bought this game, you might not of heard of it, because I’m having a hard time getting it to play well with anything less then low detail, so I’m assuming it’s a few years old and not compatible with WinXP. It’s called Max Pain!!!!!

Max Payne isn't really that old of a game and I've run it on XP with no problems.

What's the malfunction on your end?

I’ll have to work a little harder at being sarcastic. I haven’t even played it yet, I remember playing the demo with no problems. I played the practice part so far, but had to fool with the games setting to play. I had everything on high, but it wouldn’t work, so I had to turn down settings, until I was able to play. I was able to change the res. And AA with out to much problem, but did have to fool with it. So after an hour or so I figure I would play the game, but when I went to, before it loaded it crashed to windows. So again I have to fool with the options and details. One setting will work, then I try to turn them up, and it crashes again. So right now I’m just feeling it out to what I can play it at with out it crashing to windows.

Reload the game if it still doesnt work find an update patch for the game.

Woo hoo! Thank you, thank you, I was getting a little peeved there and almost ready to do something drastic. I didn’t find any patch earlier, I must not of looked very well. It is surprising what a difference a patch will do. I didn’t even fool around and right straight into high detail w no prb.

It is a good game though spent many hours wasting on that game. Wife gets mad. heehee

Half life ( the original release one ) needed upgrade as well to run on anything win 2000 and xp
