Old HDD In New PC

I Just built my new pc and have windows installed but i want to put my old HDD in the pc so i can move alot of my files over is the possible with out my pc crashing??? I ask because i have a new mobo and my pc has a fresh install of windows

Yes you can do this. PC's have multiple ports for Hard Drives/SSD's/etc.. There are only two caveat's to this...

1. How old is your HDD? Do you know if it is using the SATA interface type or is it older than that and uses IDE? If it's IDE you'll know since IDE uses a very large ribbon style cable connector, instead of the narrow SATA cable connector.

2. It's possible when you plug the old drive in that your PC will try to boot from it. if this happens, just restart the computer, and go to the BIOS, which should provide you with the option to boot from a selected drive.
