Question Old HX-1000w PSU, Broken hardwired 8pin connector, replacement?

Hey!
So me and my brother is building his newly upgraded computer, when we were all done setting stuff inn and about to connect the PCIE cables to the grafics card we noticed that one of the hardwired 8 pin connector (6+2) was broken in the pin connection...

So question is can i buy a modular Type 4 PCIE connector from the dedicated blue PCIE ports on the PSU or do we have to get a new PSU?
will provide a link to the PSU in question (its the first gen? HX-1000w proffesional editon psu (blue not grey markings)

I don't think Type 4 or 3 will work. According to your link your PSU has fixed 24 pin cable and the only HX that has fixed cables according to Corsair cable compatibility chart uses its own type of cables.
