Old Laptop

Hi. I have a Five year old Acers Travelmate 2480.When I am on line I am getting messages that the CPU is running at 98% making THe computer run slow.I only want the laptop to run for another Few months then I will replace it. Is there anything I can do to get the % lower .

Make sure that all fan vents (intake, exhaust) are clear of dust and lint. It might be affecting your cooling.

Yes, clean out the vents, and also get rid of excess bloatware that may be slowing it down. You may need to run a defrag and use CCleaner to clean out some of the things eating up the processor.
