Old Monitor won't work with my GPU

I have a Fujitsu-Siemes ScaleoView T17-2, it is a monitor from 2006 but I know for sure that it works as it worked with a laptop of mine. My new computer has a DVI monitor hooked up to it that works fne, but I want to utilise the old VGA monitor too, my GPU does have a VGA/D-SUB port.
The PC recognises that the monitor is there and characterises it as a non-Pnp Generic Monitor

If the computer recognizes it, all you have to do is set the VGA to the monitor resolution. Most likely it's just outputting an incompatible signal, so just drop the resolution to something the monitor can use (usually 1024x768 or 1280x1024)

It's resolution is set to 1280 by 1024 which is the correct resolution
