[SOLVED] Old PC needs a updgrade in CPU

I have a old PC which has a amd athlon(tm) ii x4 635 processor what would be the best upgrade to go to today at a reasonable price and I know the motherboard needs to be replaced too!

I am just looking make it faster to be honest the PC won't be used for any gaming or anything like that just the normal internet stuff streaming\watching videos.

I am just wondering what options are out there.

Quick question does the amount of RAM you can have in a system like windows 10 depend on CPU or the motherboard which houses the CPU or both because the current system can only take 4GB which is low to my normal PC which has 8GB.

The problem here is, any "upgrade" worthy of the word requires CPU/RAM/motherboard.
And maybe a new PSU.
