I have a EVGA SuperNova 850W G2 power supply right now. I'm going to RMA it because it smells like it is burning and I'm worried it's going to kill my parts. Wondering if the old cables can be used on the new one that I get?

That is something I would ask EVGA about. As long as you are going to get a new set with your new PSU(and you should) I would kindly dispose of those. You've no clue where the issue is. One of the cables may have a bad connector causing a short within the PSU. Well, it doesn't look burnt. That PSU is a champ at not causing collateral damage do I don't see it being a risk to other components. I do see reusing them as a possible risk. On the same token, if I were drilling a hole through some metal on a roof necessitating an extension cord and some of the shaving shot back into the vent holes/exhaust shorting out the drill I would still use the extension cord.

If I had the 850W G2? I'd be happy tossing them.
