I just received the rest of my computer parts today and put everything together. Is it possible that the old ram I am using (2 2gig sticks of ram) are too old to be compatible with my motherboard ASRock 970 EXTREME3? The PSU works but when I try to start the computer it won't work. I press the front panel button and no fans whirl.. no lights turn on. If this is not the case then I am going to assume that my motherboard is DOA. But if it isn't I don't want to waste all that time shipping back the board to the manufacturer only to receive a new one that while just emulate the old boards problems. Thanks for your help in advance.

Everything is well connected, yes. But nothing shows that it has started up.

No it's on and working, (I did the paperclip test). I guess that's my only option. I feel like there's one little thing I'm missing.
