Old Storage into new pc

Hi I am about to build my computer and I was wondering if I could take my old hard drive from my current computer and put it into my new computer. my old computers processor is a intel and my new pc is a amd will i have any trouble booting please help i dont want to have to spend more money

Depends - is this old hard drive the one that has Windows on it and you intend to boot from it on your new build? If so, you'll need to reinstall Windows.

If you just intend to use it as storage then you can wipe the old drive and use it as storage - not an issue.

my intent is to use the hard drive to boot off of

so i need to buy a whole new windows.. if so then can i get a link or something to get some type of windows for cheaper then 75 dollars
