Older Apple monitor to work with VGA?

Hi...Would love some help..I'm not a computer geek & have no idea..
I have the 27 inch Apple Monitor Cinema Display It has the DVI-ADC adapter...But can I get an adapter that will enable me to use it on a Gateway with VGA?

In theory you should be able to get a DVI to VGA converter and convert the DVI. No promises that it'll work but it would be your best shot I think.
