Hello,

First: sorry if I don't use the right words, I'm not English 🙂

I experienced that my pictures were always pitched ( sloped ? ) to the
left. I blamed it on myself, what the heck I only used the camera for
holiday events and let's be honest ... who cares about a holiday pic
with the horizon slightly pitched to the left or the sea level not
horizontally.
But recently I got frustrated about it, espescially because my wife told
me several times I had to be more careful, and when we saw pics she had
taken the pictures were pitched too.

So I did a test. With tripod, door post in the middle of the screen ...

To my surprise only pics taken by positioning trough the viewfinder were
pitched, if positioned with the lcd monitor they were fine.
And until now I seldom used the lcd monitor, always the viewfinder.

Hey, it wasn't me to blame, it was the camera!
But ... I took several of thousand pictures without understanding there
was a problem. It's obvious I'm not so smart I think I am ... *LOL*

Because the guarantee period wasn't expired I took the c4000z back to
the shop. And now I'm waiting to see if they find the problem serious
enough to fix it. My holiday is coming in four weeks and now I like to
take pictures with a correct sea level and horizon.

Well, no big event however, just had to tell you ... 🙂

Happy Easter everybody

It seems likely that the sensor was put in at a slight angle.

A definitive test for this that I've seen a reviewer use is to have the
camera take a picture of itself in a mirror. This will show the
rotation with no issue of whether the camera was exactly level or what
you saw in the viewfinder.
