So I had this weird issue for a few months now.
The laptop immediately shuts down when I unplug it. The thing is, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the battery. I have it as "fully charged 100", but it doesn't work at all. So, the laptop recognizes it and it doesn't seem to be broken.
Here what I have tried:
1- I used the hp Support Assistant to check it, and it is telling me it's ok and working as intended.
2- I uninstalled and reinstalled the Microsoft ACPI-compliant control method battery driver
3- I updated my BIOS driver.
Still, the problem persists.
My guts is telling me there is some faulty programming, where the laptop fails to use the battery's stored power, but that's just an uninformed guess.
I would be very grateful if someone could suggest any helpful things I can try.
