A customer has an Omnibook 2100 which runs Windows NT and used to be
attached to a domain. He was allowed to take this old laptop with him when
he left the company. He has asked me to install Windows 2000 so that he can
make use of the USB port.
I can boot up with a floppy disk fine and have even been able to backup his
data onto a cd-r with an external cd-writer using a parallel port cd-writer
with a dos driver boot disk and Ghost.
My problem is that the machine will not boot from the CD drive when it is in
the machine and I'm not able to get at the BIOS to change the boot options.
I want to remove the CMOS battery so that the CMOS resets and have taken the
keyboard off and the plate underneath that but cannot see the battery.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
