On-board graphics was re-enabled when I took out my cpu and put it back in after realizing that the new cpu i bought didn't fit my motherboard. i enablaed the pci-e as a priority in the bios also and still only the integrated graphics works.
I have a core i3-2120 and a gtx 660 gpu.

Did you save the change in the bios? Try booting up without the GPU and then shutting down and putting the card back in. Then go back into the bios and set it back to PCI.
