Question On/Off boot loop on Alienware R3 ?

Hello all. Alienware R3 p45f on/off boot loop. turn it on, 4 secs blue light/4 secs red light, an audible click and reboot. turn it on, 4 secs blue light/4 secs red light, an audible click and reboot. ..forever.

i removed RAM and SSD, it gives 2 short beeps (indicating no RAM). Put in different (wrong) RAM and get red light and 4 short beeps (read/write/wrong RAM).

I was hoping I could just pull the CMOS for a reset, but it seems like they make it impossible to do without taking the entire MB out. is this true, or is there something else I can do to reset the MB or anything else to try and achieve some kind of diagnosis for the client? disconnect battery and hold power button down?

Half true. You need to take the bottom half of the laptops housing off to get to the battery.

thanks for the confirm. some engineers are just plain evil. they even put the word, "BATTERY" on that cover to tell me EXACTLY where the battery is that can't get to
