One display will only show 1600x1200 and Generic PNP monitor

I have an R9 280x with one HDMI port and one DVI port. The screen connected to HDMI works fine but the other screen through DVI will not come up as 1920x1080. I've uninstalled drivers, and re installed all drivers, but I can't get both screens to boot the same size and stay that way. I can go to Radeon app and create a custom screen profile for the one screen but it defeats the purpose and doesnt stay that way when I restart. help?

Which monitors do you have, specifically?

S22C300 Samsung both are the same

as windows is not seeing your monitor right on the other port download the old driver for it and change the monitor type on the other port.
