Alright... I have read the signature of the week, and I have searched a lot; however, I have not found anything quite like what I am experiencing.
I bought a VideoExcel Geforce2MX and stuck it in my motherboard and my monitor displays a screen that is as described as follows: it looks like everything is shifted half a screen to the left(i.e. with the left half of the screen on the right half. I can't 'move' the screen back with the monitor buttons or whatever. I have the most recent 4in1 drivers. I have not tried different detonater drivers as I didn't know that different versions from before the most recent changed much. I know the IRQ address is not shared. I got the most recent BIOS, I think. My system includes a Abit KA7-100 motherboard which I know may have some problems with the geforce2 cards but what I've heard is that the main problem is a cold boot after install, which I don't get(as I can still use it but the screen is messed up).
Anyone heard of this? If so what do I need to do? Or what can I try? Does it maybe have something to do with the refresh rate of my monitor?
Computer Specs:
Abit KA7-100
AMD Athlon 650
128MB PC133 Ram
A Gateway monitor(not sure which, I'll find out later)
non-ok'd power supply for AMD's - this may be it?
Anyone?
