Today I moved my PC to a different place, because I changed places and when I set it up and started it it was underperforming. I checked the Task Bar to see what was happening if there was something that was taking up way too much of anything and I saw my RAM was almost always on 90%. I checked on the details tab and I saw I only had 8 out of 4. It said "Hardware reserved: 4GB". First thing that came to mind is restarting my PC. Didn't help. Then I checked online for some help and the most common solution was to go into msconfig -> Boot -> Advanced options and to uncheck "Maximum memory". I did that and restarted my PC. Still only 4 GB. Other post was checking it and typing the 8 GB but in MB 8192. Did that and restarted, but still only 4 GB. Other solution was to go into regedit and change ClearPageFileAtShutdown from 0 to 1. Did that, restarted, but still only 4 GB. Then I tried swapping the slot places of my RAMs. Unplugged my PC, swapped them, plugged it back in, started it and still only 4 GB. I tried the first methods again with the swapped places, but nothing worked. I then tried unplugging my PC and removing the cirkular battery from my motherboard, then pressing the power button for around 30 seconds and left my PC like that for around 10 mins. After that I placed the battery inside and started my PC. Didn't work as well. Tried the same strategy but swapping the RAMs again along side removing the battery. Didn't work out. Tried to do the battery thing, power it up in safe mode, change the settings in msconfig and again it didn't work. I then started looking around in BIOS for settings that might help, but couldn't find anything. Tomorrow I will try only starting with one stick and updating my BIOS. Other than that I have tried everything I read or remembered from past experiences, all kinds of combinations and after around 3-4 hours of messing with my PC, I come here asking for help. If anyone has any other solution about how to fix this problem, please tell me.

Solution
Could you install CPU-Z real quick and make sure the RAM is not dead. Just install it and go to the Memory tab and select the slots -- making sure that the computer recognizes it and that it is functional.

This morning when I woke up I tried with trying to boot with only one RAM and it only worked with one of my RAMs. The first one I tried didn't boot in any slot, then when I tried with the other one it booted up in both slots. So I just bought a new RAM. I guess problem solved...
