Only google, youtube and facebook work

For the last two days, my internet has been fine, until all of a sudden only google, facebook and maybe one or two more websites will work. I can also not play any games that require and internet connection.

NOTE: Tethering my phone to use its wireless connection fixes the problem, but when I go back to my wireless card it persists. Also, this problem started yesterday night, but in the morning the problem had went away, only to come back at 11 PM after using my computer with no issues all day.

CPU: AMD FX6350
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon R7 200 Series
HDD: Seagate 1TB
8 GB ram, DDR3
Wireless Card: Atheros AR500g

Some background: The only changes to my PC recently are setting up a static IP for my computer (which I have reversed trying to fix this problem), and re-connecting my second hardrive (1TB Western Digital). It would seem to be a problem with my wireless card as using my phones connection works. My wireless drivers are up to date, so is my windows and all other drivers.

taking a quick shot in the dark issue sounds like either a proxy settings problem or possibly an issue with DNS what message were you getting when trying to browse the other sites?

On the topic of proxy servers, I have already gone to Internet options and unticked the "use a proxy server for your lan" box.

from what you have said it seems like parental control issue to me anyone got access to the router other than you ? also if it comes and goes at the same hour everyday then it most be parental control
