How to I fix my usb not being detected by my newly built pc as my usb has windows 10 on it but when I try to boot it, it just says operating system not found.

How did you prepare the flash drive media? Use the Windows media creation tool to do it for you:

I downloaded the windows 10 tool on my usb and I know windows is on it because when I open the usb up on my Mac it says windows 10 .but my pc just isn’t detecting it

Can you be more specific on what you mean by "downloaded the windows 10 tool?" You should follow the link provided, where an official Microsoft software will download the windows 10 image and has an option to create a USB stick.

If this is correct,then make sure you're doing the right thing to boot into the stick. Do you see the stick as an option in a boot menu? If this is a newer (UEFI) board you may see two entries, like "USB drive" and "UEFI USB drive" or something of the sort, in which case make sure to select the UEFI option.

Thanks I was just selecting the the usb drive and not the uefi usb drive. Thank you
