Opinion and advice on Intel Smart Response

The best way to set up your drives is exactly the way that you have it - the OS and apps on the SSD, and data on the HDD.

SRT was meant to allow people to take advantage of SSDs that were too small to contain the OS and applications. If I find it later, I'll post the link to the Tom's article that concludes that you should install to the SSD if it's big enough.
 
I'm using Intel SRT and I'm not impressed. It did nothing to speed up my boot times, but it opens my programs in 1 second instead of 3 seconds. (yawn). If I had to do it over again, I would have installed Windows on the SSD and used the HDD for storage.
 


Yeah my boot time is like 20 or 30 seconds its great the ssd really does speed up the system.
