Hey guy's, so I was looking around and I found an fx-6100 for near 70$ (With shipping) (that's about 54 usd) the thing was only used for a few days. So one I would like to know how it preforms on modern games like battlefield, and second I would like to know if it's really worth it to get a new i3 or fx-6300 when I can basically get this cpu + a motherboard for the same cost.

If anyone would like to know I'm using a r9 280 in the build coming up.

For $54 and you overclock it the results wont be bad, your not going to be 1080P and Ultra settings in every title but all games out will be playable. To be frank if you want more out of AMD moving to a FX-6350 or 8350 wont be much of a improvement. Overclocked FX-6XXX and FX-8XXX chips on average are between a I3 and I5 when games require more than 2 threads, in games that only need 2 threads a I3 will outpace slightly.
