Opinion on pc upgrade

Hi everyone, i currently have an i7 2600k, gtx 670, 8 gb ram, 750 watt psu. I was wondering do you think i should upgrade the gpu and maybe add more ram or i was thinking of just building a new ryzen pc with either the 1700 or 1600. Im just not sure how much longer the 2600k if overclocked will last. I mostly use it for gaming but would like to get into game making not sure if thats something where an 8 core would be better or not. Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated thank you
