Question Opinion On The E3 1270 V6

I am making a super budget build and plan to use a E3 1270 v6 paired with a 1660 ti or 1080. From what ive seen the 1270 V6 performs the same as a i7 7700 which is sufficient. What are your thoughts?

OK, so what answer are you looking for?

"OMG It is uber better!!"
or
"meh...about the same as a 7700"

Given decade+ old parts, its a wash either way.

Do you already have either of these 2 CPUs?

Im looking on par or a bit better performance. I dont have these CPUs and the other options that ive are seen are out of my budget. Considering that im pairing it with a 1080 its a good combo

If you don't get the XEON, you will be continually wondering....

So get that.
