Hey all
This is a list I have made for music production specifically. I ideally want it to be as quiet as possible. I already own some parts as follows:

Memory (RAM) 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE RGB PRO DDR4 3600MHz (2 x 16GB)
Graphics Card 12GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3060 - HDMI, DP, LHR
1st Storage Drive 1TB Samsung 870 QVO 2.5" SSD, SATA 6Gb/s (up to 560MB/sR | 530MB/sW)
Extra Case Fans 2 x 120mm Thermaltake TOUGHFAN 12 Case Fans

I have been recommended to add the following parts to complete the system:

CPU Intel Core i7-12700F 2.1 GHz 12 Core Processor
CPU Cooler Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler
Motherboard MSI PRO B760-P DDR4 II ATX LGA1700 Motherboard
Case Fractal Design Focus 2 ATX Mid Tower
Power Supply Corsair RM650 (2023) 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

How does this look please? Any suggestions? Is it compatible?

Thank you

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

I would swap the processor out for something without the F SKU, so you have the iGPU, which comes in handy when you need to troubleshoot discrete GPU related issues. For your initial storage, I'd look into a smaller capacity SSD for the OS and apps/launchers. Then add a higher quality SSD for your prodcuction work, double the number of SSD's to have one as your workflow drive and the other as your drive to store your finished work. An HDD would be invaluable since SSD's can knock out all your data when they die.

Looks good. You can get a significantly more powerful CPU for less money, but I understand you selected the 12700F for its lower power consumption. The 12700K comes with onboard graphics in case you run into trouble with your system and need onboard graphics for troubleshooting. You may want additional storage, as one terabyte will fill up much sooner than you may think. If you want something more powerful and quieter than an inexpensive hard drive, you can always get a second SSD. I would not buy a 2.5" Sata SSD, as they are similarly priced to their more convenient and significantly faster NVMe counterparts.

Amazing thanks man!
So I think I’ll swap the 12700F to a 12700K, and get an additional NVMe 2TB SSD down the line (when I’m less broke) 🙂

Thanks for the warm welcome captain! This forum seems great already. And thanks for the tips 🙏

Just keep in mind the 12700K has higher default power limits than the 12700, so the CPU cooler fan will spin up much sooner and more frequently. You can manually adjust this of course, but the non-K might be a more suitable choice and also save you some clams. 12700 without the F will still have iGPU.

Fractal Design Focus is also a fairly barebones case. You might want to consider sound dampened cases such as BeQuiets or Coolermaster Silencios etc.
