This is really just to get some final opinions on my build specs, before take the plunge and purchase all the bits. I'm 19 and this is my first build, and I want it to stay this way for a good number of years, not that I don't like doing it, research has been really fun, but cant really afford to. the pc is mainly for photo editing with software such as Photoshop, light office work, and some heavy gaming, with the intention being to play games on highest settings. I don't plan to OC at the moment, however would like to with this rig in a few years.

The Case decision has been made, as I have pre purchased this component, so that cannot be changed at this point. my budget for the build is £1400, which cannot be exceeded. My build is in the link below.

Thanks for any advice given.

What is wrong with the asus mobo, as far as I see it, if you are going to spend more on everything else, why not stick with the high end mobo too.

No point in spending 160 pounds on a board, in which you may never use all of its capability. I would have gone with the Asus board if he had said he was an avid oc'er, but Gigabyte make motherboards that are also good in quality and functionality, at a cheaper cost.

Well I will be using most of the features, the supreme FX sound for instance, I would have to get a sound card without this feature, costing around £50 plus, I listen to a lot of music. I will be making use of the KeyBot feature to make my not so great keyboard perform a little better, and as for the Game First III function, this will increase games loading times, and help with other PC related tasks, such as Movie streaming. sonic radar II will also be useful, I play COD on PC, and want to play more with this PC.

I think the main reason I have chosen it is because of its wide functionality, with all of its 'POSSIBLE' uses, and because it is a board by ROG.

I'm not saying your point is invalid, even I think it is overpriced, and I'm buying it. while I do not plan to OC straight away, the GPU can OC so gives me the opportunity to teach myself someday.
