Hello,

I'm building my first PC with a budget of $1200. This is my first build so I've scooped around the net and learned as much about hardware and specs, reading articles, benchmarks, and watching videos for a month. It's got me pumped like crazy, I've finally picked out the parts but then it's only been a month and I'm still very new to this and so opinions would ultimately now feel like the greatest help.

This computer will primarily be used for video editing, with gaming on the side. I tried to balance the hardware with that in mind (8GB of RAM and 8 cores for video editing? I'm not a HUGE gamer, enjoy modern games (Far Cry 3, Bioshock Infinity, Call of Duty). i figure the GTX760 is enough?). If you notice flaws that could result in bottlenecking or know better hardware for less please write it in.
:D
Thanks very much in advance for replies

Hi

-If you don't need 3way SLI,Crossfire motherboard, you can get the M5A99X Evo R.2.0, overall great board, and $60 cheaper.
-Better get kit of 2X4GB RAM or kit of 2x8GB RAM, which will come in handy for the rendering processes.
-For $10 more i think, you can get the XFX 650w 80+ bronze, better than the Corsair's unit, but not modular.
-For case, you might consider Fractal Design Core 3000 Usb 3.0. Great case for the budget, modular HDD cages, rubberized grommets, black connectors, plus it comes with 3 pre installed fans.
