Hi,

About 3mths ago I turned on from cold only to find a twotonesiren noise
yelling at my hangover.I hit the reset button and it disappeared.Today the
siren is back where I hit the reset where it disappeard again, after doing a
google I am led to believe it could be one of three things,

1st- maybe the heaksink not seated correctly?

2nd-maybe the cpu is on the way out?

3rd-maybe the psu has a power issue?

Now if it were the 1st surely this would happen everytime at boot or maybe
not?

Anyone actually had this happen to them and can say 100% what the offending
git was?

All input welcome.

Regards,

Maybe the CPU Fan is on his way out or stuck - perhaps some cleaning will
help!

Hard to say really Steven(without looking@ the time) about the fan sticking
but good point.

I must admit its a puzzle to me as I dont believe that theres a/thing wrong
with psu as e/thing looks ok on rails & cpu looks find also.If it only
happens every 3mths then I think I can live with that but I think I will
give the inside a good clean out as your explanation seems logical.

Any other takers for this post?
